How To Create a Coffee Corner at Home

Make your mornings better and brighter!

When everyone is such a busybee in the morning, you may want to create a safe and worry-free vibe in your home. Do you know the one thing everyone looks forward to every morning? Their daily dose of caffeine.

Creating a coffee corner at home is a very easy DIY home project guaranteed to make your mornings energized. Just like any other coffee lover, you'd like to have your preferred steaming cup of coffee before doing any work.

Ready to try this project yourself? Here's a step by step guide on building a coffee bar in your kitchen:

1. Prepping your coffee bar location

When choosing a location, choose a spot in your kitchen or dining area that has enough space for your appliances and other essentials. Naturally, you want a location near the sink to easily wash your mugs and the trash can preferrably at arms length so you can throw away your waste without creating a mess on the floor or on your kitchen counters.

You'll also want to choose an area near electrical socket where you can plug in your coffee maker or espresso machine. It's recommended to have an electrical socket that has a safety covers so that you wouldn't risk any electrical accidents.

Make sure that you also have space for storage in your cabinet drawer or cupboard!

2. Placing your coffee maker and other appliances

Your coffee maker or espresso machine is the main attraction of your coffee bar. So make sure that you have adequate room on the counter top. Other products that you should place in your coffee corner are:

  • Coffee beans (preferrably in a tight-lid jar)

  • Coffee grinder

  • Electric kettle

  • Milk frother

  • Coffee drip

  • Coffee filters

  • Mugs

  • Glasswares

  • Stirrers/teaspons/measuring cups

For coffee filters, mugs, glasses, and stirrers, it's highly recommended to store them in an enclosed space where they are kept clean and dry.

3. Stock Up on Snacks and Treats

Coffee nooks aren't just about coffee, snacks and treats are welcome too! Whether its storebought or homemade, display them on your coffee nook. So that you'll always have something to go with your cup of joe. Store them in a glass container with a lid so that your food wouldn't go to waste.

4. Finish Your Coffee Nook with Decorations

Create a coffee menu for display, a few quotes on picture frame, or a small plant on the countertop are just a few ideas to make your coffee nook more instagrammable.

Once everything is up and running, you'd be more motivated to wake up in the morning. It's a game-changer around your home that would impress your friends.
