Tips for those who have pets at home

Afraid of having your furniture scratched? Or see fragile items multiply to pieces? Or clean that unrolled toilet papers on the floor? Then hold on to your fur babies because these tips are for you.

Constant Pet Bathing and Grooming

Your house will remain cleaner longer if your dog or cat is clean. Keeping their nails trimmed will prevent scratches on your floors and upholstery. You can prevent hair from getting on your floor, on your bed, on your throw pillows, and on your curtains by regularly brushing and bathing. It is better to avoid washing furniture and rugs as often if you want them to last longer. If you think about it, cleaning your dog is easier and more enjoyable than cleaning your upholstery.

Choose a good flooring

There is nothing wrong with bare floors, but bare doesn't have to be boring. Terrazzo and brick are lovely and durable, just like painted concrete. If you have a large dog, keep in mind that hardwood floors are easy to mop or vacuum. However, hardwood floors can scratch easily.

Ceramic tile is the best flooring option because it can resist any stain an animal can dish out and is easy to clean.

Keep fragile decorations away from reach

Items such as vase and other fragile materials won't do for pets. Your pets may toy with them but it can potentially harm them once it breaks. Store those figurines out of sight and instead give them a tidy toy which they can play with and which is, of course easy to clean.

Try using stain resistant fabrics

For most of the good choices, try using leather as it is easy to clean and it is a strong material. It's true that most grades of leather will suffer only scratches from Brownie or Clifford's claws, but hey, the scratches will add character to the leather. Try pleather if you find the idea of buying a sofa made from an animal ironic. The product is cruelty-free, inexpensive, and timeless.

Keep pet space clean and healthy

Using non toxic materials will be a better thing to do. Always keep their place tidy as this is where they spend most of their time and a dirty place will let them scatter the dirt around the house.

Furthermore, pet hair contains an oil that will attract dirt to the fabric that it sits on. It is highly suggested that we constantly clean up their excess hair which can potentially damage your floors and furniture.

These are the common ways of dealing with and preventing problems which may arise from our pet's actions. We should always look out for their needs also and keep track of what they are doing.
